This App Sorts Your High Quality Music Files Out From The Crap Ones

Ever had issues finding all your high quality music files amidst the low ones? Any DJ or mp3 enthusiast would tell you that plucking your 320kbps tracks from the rest is a smart move, particularly if you plan on playing that music out, and a brand new app is here in attempt to make that process easier.

Fakin’ The Funk? is the app, and its purpose is to divide the good tracks from the crap ones so you don’t get stung playing a YouTube quality mp3 mid-set and potentially drop dead from the humiliation and chin-strokery.

The app works by analysing each file’s frequency spectrum and then determining where the high frequency cut-off is. For example, if a track is labelled as 320kbps but does not show frequencies over 17kHz then it would be labelled a ‘fake’, as 320kbps files should have frequencies up to 22kHz.

The app is currently only available for PC, however a Mac version is said to be on the way. For more info on this app, head to their website. Peep the video below to see it in action.
