Fortunes. have teamed up with Queens based Rapper Dai Burger for a new edit of their 501’s single. The track, released in anticipation of an upcoming project to be released later this year, features a more stripped back, 90’s hip hop beat, while still maintaining the soul that made 501’s a resounding success.

Burger is the perfect addition to 501’s; her tight flow and poetry are a great counterpoint to McCabe’s offbeat, soul-ridden vocals. Initially the Melbourne duo had planned to add a feature verse to the original beat, but they were so taken with Burger’s contribution they decided to ‘put a new spin on it to compliment her verse, but still keep the core of the original’.

The 501’s rework premiered on The Fader last week and can be streamed below.
