Flume Just Won His First GRAMMY For Best Dance/Electronic Album

Flume just went from local hero to global superstar after winning his first GRAMMY for Best Dance/Electronic Album 2017.

The Manly-based producer, who a lot of us still remember playing small Sydney clubs back in the day (feels), took out the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Tycho and Louie Vega to win what is one of the highest honours in music, joining an elite rank of artists such as Daft Punk, Skrillex and Aphex Twin.

During his acceptance speech, Flume tipped his hat to the homeland, saying “I’m really proud to be here representing Australian music on this stage right now.”

He also gave props to his album collaborators, Vince Staples, Kai, Tove Lo among plenty others, thanking them for the way they added “so much colour and flavour to it.”

Watch his full speech below. Congrats you legend!
