Five Homegrown Acts You Must See At The Secret Garden Festival

The Secret Garden Festival is swiftly approaching its next instalment, and having recently sold out well ahead of the festival dates, we decided to take a look at the homegrown talent that will be on show during this vibrant weekend of music.

Here are five local acts you’ve gotta see:

1. Amber Akilla

Amber Akilla is a Perth-born selector who has been steadily building her reputation with carefully curated hip-hop sets all over the country. She has been known to frequent Migos’ ‘Bad And Boujee‘, so that’s definitely a big plus.

2. Andy Garvey

When she isn’t on the airwaves, Andy Garvey is out there working the club circuit with an impressive array of vinyl selections that have quickly turned this Sydney-based house connoisseur into a go-to booking.

3. Kimchi Princi x Slim Set

Kimchi Princi is the undisputed queen of the Australian rap underground. The eclectic, Sydney-based MC, teamed with fellow Sydney duo Slim Set, will be bringing her abstract, internet inspired experience to the Garden for a live performance and will not be one to miss.

4. Sezzo Snot

Brisbane’s Sezzo Snot is arguably one of the most intriguing DJs doing the rounds right now. Her intricate sets are filled with high-energy future bass and underground hip-hop, and will definitely go down a treat in the Garden.

Known for throwing doozy, summer time soirées, the crew at Rimbombo definitely make the ‘must see’ list due to the simple fact that they are the lords of setting the mood.
