Swedish wonder-man Kornél Kovács is upon our shores this week, bringing his eclectic, disco-infused house to our ears over the weekend for a string of shows including Astral People’s Summer Dance alongside Palms Trax and Roland Tings.
We caught up with Mr. Kovács to chat summer jams, and picked his brain for his 5 most lush poolside tracks for the summer time.
AtomTM – CMYK
Bizarre and wonderful album by Uwe Schmidt that comes with a handful of cheesy marimba covers of classic eighties hits like “Tarzan Boy” or “Boys Boys Boys”. Makes me smile everytime, would work great by the pool.
Eternal feel-good anthem with a perfect poolside groove and one of Nate Dogg’s best features ever.
I could just list 5 Pedrodollar jams here to be honest. His sound is sexy, sunny and a little bit silly, just like a great pool party.
Perfect track around sunset when things start getting a bit more animated but you still want to keep that sunny feel. Can imagine this is good for crazy pool acrobatics.
Jesper Dahlbäck – I Love Water
This party has now gone completely out of control to the sounds of Jesper’s hydrophilic acid bomb.
