Keep Sydney Open Rally Rescheduled For February

After the devastating news that Keep Sydney Open’s third official rally was cancelled by the Supreme Court, it is with both relief and excitement that we can inform you that the event has found a new date, February 18th.

The evening rally, which will is looking to host thousands of punters once again, will be taking to the once thriving heart of Sydney nightlife, Kings Cross, and will include speeches from KSO leader Tyson Koh with more to come.

For those unaware of why the rally was initially cancelled, these are some reasons we took from a Facebook live video from KSO on Friday.

  • Not enough access for medical services if roads were blocked
  • No traffic plans, toilets or police organised to host 5,000 – 7,000 people

Ironic, right?

Numbers really do count when it comes to protesting and rallying. Supporting the cause online can only go so far, so be sure to head along on Feb 18 and support our city’s nightlife that we all so desperately want back.

Head to the Keep Sydney Open Facebook page to found out more.
