The year was 2012, most of the current dominators in the Aussie electronic music scene were still honing their craft, but this did not include one particular duo from the Northern beaches – What So Not.

The eclectic two-piece, made up of Emoh Instead and Flume, first turned heads with their huge debut EP ‘7 Dollar Bill’ in 2011, which was mind blowing to say the least.

From here, the remixes started trickling our way, and that is when their jaw-dropping, ear-drumming rework of Major Lazer’s ‘Get Free’ entered our lives.

The track upholds Amber’s vocal finesse and builds gradually before we are slapped in the face with that deep, grinding and very familiar drop.
