Whenever a good mashup comes along, everyone’s always asking “hey have you always wondered how these two artists would sound mixed together?” We can’t say we’ve ever thought of putting Daft Punk and Beastie Boys together, but Canadian producer Coins has, and has spent the last two years putting together what is now called ‘Daft Science’.

While other mashups tend to just find two tracks that fit well together when started at the same time, Coins has taken a huge amount of memorable Daft Punk samples – synths, drums and vocals – and mixed them in with Beastie Boys songs to create completely new tracks. ‘Intergalactic’, ‘Body Movin’, ‘Check It Out’ and way more sounding almost like Daft Punk has remixed them themselves.
