While most modern day festivals can say they’re fully dedicated to being eco-friendly, there’s no question that some go much further in assuring that their footprint on our earth is as small as possible. Brand new to the festival scene but already making their mark, Babylon last night unveiled the ultimate anti-littering initiative.

For as long as there’s been music, and as long as there’s been cigarettes, there has been a growing sea of ciggie butts in the live music scene. Babylon hopes to combat the amount of butts at this year’s inaugural event by offering drinks to those that clean up after themselves or even each other.

 

While past festivals have offered similar rewards for empty drinks or even bags of rubbish, Babylon is going all out in this move. It’s inspiring to see, and no doubt other festivals will be following suit in no time. Speaking of no time, tickets to a lineup of Claud Vonstroke, Fur Coat, Infected Mushroom, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Pleasurekraft and way more surely won’t last too long.
