The xx Share Release Date For Coming Album Along With New Track

There have been hints all over the place for the better part of November thus far, but The xx have officially announced their third studio album ‘I See You’.

The news follows a handful of eyebrow raising teasers that were uploaded to their Spotify channel over the past 2-weeks, which lead to some suspicious fans discovering the album title ahead of time through music discovery app Shazam.

Thankfully, all speculations were in fact true.

The xx took to Facebook to announce the title and release date of their coming project, writing:

After many years, close together, far apart, great highs, deep lows, heartache and healing, we are so happy to let you know we are releasing our 3rd album ‘I See You’ on January 13th 2017.

We realise these are uncertain times and we hope the joy and love we found making the record will find its way out into the world, in however small a way.

On top of the announcement, the band have always shared a link to stream their brand new track ‘Hold On‘, which you can listen to here or stream below.

‘I See You’ is set for release on January 13, and will surely spark  long list of tour dates in the near future (even Australia, wouldn’t that be a bit nice?).
