Last week we had a lil bit of a snippet into what Hudson Mohawke has been cooking up for the soundtrack to Watchdogs 2, a video game releasing on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC tomorrow. In case you’re not familiar with the franchise, long story short it’s basically about a group of hackers enacting their own form of vigilante justice. Hudmo’s music is the perfect choice for the game, and while we won’t know how the game is till we get our own hot little hands on it, if the soundtrack is anything to go by this will be a phenomenal experience.

Hudmo’s released the entirety of the game’s OST, titled ‘Dead Sec’, available to stream now via Spotify. It got released on his home label Warp, which actually technically also makes this his third album. It’s packed to the brim with bass heavy bangers, and lightly dusted with glitches and effects that work to bring the themes of the game to life. While it may seem obvious from the fact that it’s an OST, there aren’t any vocal features on this release either – just straight up Hudson Mohawke beats. Pure and solid.

Sitting at 16 tracks, this is a dense release to say the least, and not just in the sounds. Regardless of whether you’re a gamer, or whether the game will stack up against the soundtrack, this is a gift that we’re very thankful has been brought to life.
