Hudson Mohawke Shares New Track From Upcoming Project

Hudson Mohawke has delivered an eclectic new cut from his forthcoming soundtrack for the Watch Dogs 2 video game.

The track – titled ‘Play N Go‘ – starts with an array of instrumentals clanging together, slowly building to a very HudMo-esque break down with serious anthem potential. It is large and very loud and would certainly fit a dramatic section of the video game while still slotting nicely into a live set from the Scottish beatmaker.

Speaking on the track, Birchard explains he “really wanted to create something that could be both big and anthemic but also strips back to some tough, driving percussion at points.”

“I feel like both these motifs are reflections of the gameplay also; whether you want to go in all guns blazing or play in a more tense, stealthy style. Above all, I really wanted to keep the rebellious nature of the game within the track, crunchy DIY sounding with a victorious kind of cheeky undertone.”

The soundtrack titled ‘Ded Sec – Watch Dogs 2 (OST)’ is set to drop tomorrow on Warp records via Inertia. Stream ‘Play N Go‘ below.
