Help Finish This Map Of The World’s Best Clubs

“Hey you were in * any city * recently right? Know any good clubs I should check out while I’m over there?”

“Ooh yeah, there was this really sick one I stumbled into one night and it had the best vibe going on.”

“Awesome! Where is it? What’s it called?”

“I’ve forgotten.” :S

Has this happened to you too many times? Don’t want to rely on your flakey friends or hostel mates to give you suggestions on what to do and where to go? Feel like you’re an expert on clubs in your hometown? Well then…

French dude and communications director for Nuits Electriques and Big Festival Matthieu Rodrigues has for a while now been creating a map of all the best clubs in the world. Though it got put on hiatus for a while, and is by no means completely finished, Matthieu has opened the map up to the public, allowing anyone to submit a club that they believe has been overlooked.

“So I decided to make my map public and include a link for submitting new places. Finding the commercial clubs is pretty easy. With this map, I wanted to include other clubs with more niche programming, primarily house / techno. I recently had some clubs submitted from North America and Asia and that’s a great thing. The goal is really to expand beyond just our neighbouring countries,” he told Trax Mag.

So far it’s working wonders, currently sitting at 170 clubs, more than 50 of which have been added since he opened it up to everybody. If it continues at this rate, Matthieu’s map could be a valuable companion for any traveler looking to get club recommendations by the locals that know them best.

Think you know one that’s been missed? Submit it now!
