Words by Harrison Kefford
It’s official, Bonobo album watch is in full swing with the UK-based artist announcing his new project ‘Migration’ that followed a mysterious video on social media.
It was New Years Eve 2015 when Bonobo (Simon Green) hinted that he would be releasing a new album sometime during the following year, and with a just over a month left of 2016, he has finally made good with his promise.
Murmurs on an album began yesterday, after the release of an hinting video to his social media. The video portrays a professional group of graffiti artists painting across a walls somewhere inner city. It also teases the album artwork, and plays host to snippets of new music. Minds were boggling, but not for long, as this was followed up this morning by the official announcement video (check it below) as well as the very first single from the project titled ‘Kerala’.
So here is what we know: The official release date for the new LP is January 13, 2017, and it will be a 12-track LP released via Ninja Tune. What a great way to end the week.
