The obscure yet captivating music video for Oneohtrix Point Never‘s ‘Animals’ is here, featuring a familiar Hollywood face.

Teased earlier in the month in a preview of an audio/visual event the Brooklyn based producer has been working on, the music video – directed by Rick Alverson – features former Batman star Val Kilmer as the protagonist (if you could call it that?), who sits absently in a hotel room experiencing what looks like warped acid trip that is intensified by the harsh strobe lighting and equally as abrasive instrumentals.

The track itself is a cut from Oneohtrix’s latest album ‘Garden Of Delete’, which was released via Warp Records in November last year. You can stream here.

The video might not be traditionally entertaining but it was certainly captivating from start to finish. Val Kilmer – though he may not have been your favourite Batman – performs his role in this abstract music video perfectly. Kudos to Alverson on this one.
