Three years after their EP “After Hours” Sydney trio The Nights have released what’s to be the first of a few over the Summer.

“Close To You” is a building track that makes great use of heavy beats mixed in with echoed vocals. It’s a layered experimental tune that begs to be listened to eyes closed, requiring real immersion. In saying that, it doesn’t deny a sneaky boogie, especially towards the end.

The Nights have been focusing on their live game, and with their respective backgrounds in music and art, namely Vivid Sydney installations, it’s safe to say this summer of live shows by the trio is sure to be an experience.
