Gorillaz New Album Will Be Complete In Two Weeks!

We may only be a fortnight away from hearing the brand new Gorillaz record!

The eclectic music group and brain child of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have been teasing us for the better part of 2016 with all sorts of rumours and hype in the lead up to their forthcoming album, but it may all be coming to a close very soon with a release this month.

Following a recent Reddit AMA with Ceri Levy (who directed ‘">Bananaz‘), it was revealed that Albarn reportedly said there is “two weeks left of recording and the album’s finished”.

How good!?!

It was also revealed that Albarn has been logging studio time with English producer Two Inch Punch, who has worked with Sam Sith, Jessie Ware and the king of ambience Brian Eno, among others.

This exciting news (which may still just be a rumour so don’t hold your breath) follows the release of a 12-part animated series that popped up on Twitter last week, titled ‘The Book of Noodle’ and the announcement that new band member Noodle is the ambassador of Jaguar. Like, the cars. Check that video out below.

It seems safe to assume that things are finally coming together. Who else is getting very keen?
