SoundCloud’s ‘Station’ Feature Is Up And Running. Here Is How it Works…

As we welcome the Summer season’s today, we also welcome SoundCloud’s new ‘Station’ feature.

The feature was officially revealed back in February, but – unless we’re blind – seems to have only just kicked off as an legitimate feature on the streaming service.

Similar to their already functioning ‘Discover’ section, ‘Station’ gives listeners an array of music options that are similar to certain accounts followed or tracks liked/reposted. However, the ‘Station’ feature allows the user to discover similar tracks to specific artists and not just what they have been recently listening to.

Here is the visual run-down of our first experience with SoundCloud ‘Stations’.

1: First, we saw this this pop up while scrolling away.

2: When visiting the Stoney Roads account, we saw the added ‘Stations’ feature on the right-hand side. Naturally, we gave it a click.

3: When in the ‘Stations’ vortex for a certain page, you are then faced with quite a visually pleasing array of tracks that are similar to what that specific account shares. Not too bad at all!

Not rocket science, right?
