Kaytranada’s ‘99.9%’ Named Best Canadian Album Of 2016

Did Kaytranada drop the best full-length in Canada this year? Some think so. The electronic musician just took out the Polaris Music Prize, an annual award given to the perceived best album coming out of Canada, “based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label.”

Kaytranada, real name Louis Kevin Celestin, released the award-winning album ‘99.9%‘ back in March. “For me, it’s crazy to get this award,” Kaytranada said after taking out the prize. “It’s really, truly, a big honour. It’s amazing. Shout-outs to all of y’all. I want to thank the judges and everybody for voting for me.”

What’s more, Kaytranada is coming our way very soon, the artist has plotted dates for an Aus tour going down this October. See you there?
