Eclectic South African duo Die Antwoord have released the trippy visuals for their latest track ‘Banana Brain’.

The notoriously weird and wonderful pairing of Yo-Landi and Ninja always manage to go above and beyond with the visual aspect of their music, however this latest offering seems to take the cake.

The film clip loosely follows the classic and rather cliche plot of the sweet, suburban girl acting out with the rebellious boyfriend, beginning with an innocently portrayed Yo-Landi bringing heavily dosed up tea to her parents before she sneaks off in a suped-up WRX with the one and only, Ninja.

The two drive off to a more run-down part of town, where they party, take acid, and get pretty fucking freaky with each other before she returns home at sunrise.

The track itself is everything you want and more from Die Antwoord. The beat is a high-energy, happy hardcore-esque production that matches the estranged vocals of the two artists perfectly. It’s definitely not a song for the faint hearted.

Die Antwoord will be returning to our shores come December, performing at Perth’s Origin NYE festival, with more shows likely to pop up soon enough.
