Daft Punk and The Weeknd’s Anticipated Collab Has Dropped

Last month we caught wind of a collaboration between The Weeknd and the French electronic lord’s Daft Punk, and today you can hear it.

The track, titled ‘Starboy‘, is a high energy, instrumentally layered cut from The Weeknd’s third studio album, which is set for release on November 25.

If you were expecting a more classic, dance-heavy Daft Punk sound on this one, then this might not be the track for you, however what we have with ‘Starboy’ is some progressive production from the robots that allows The Weeknd’s vocals to dominate.

It’s been a big week in Daft Punk news, with the release of an exclusive, gold vinyl re-issue of ‘Da Funk’ and ‘Teachers’ catching our eyes only this morning. Hopefully this momentum keeps up and we see some original music in the near future!

For now, listen to ‘Starboy’ below and let us know if it hits the mark.
