Sydney Has A ‘Bad’ New Festival On The Horizon

BAD is a brand new festival that is bringing together wide range of artists to celebrate diversity.

Curated by a team of driven Sydney heads – Greta Balog and Gina and Danielle Karlikoff – BAD is here to “promote the diversity within our local music and art scenes and kindly extends a middle finger to patriarchy and monotony.”

The line-up is honest representation of that statement, with a broad range of eclectic and extremely talented artists on the bill that has us pretty much sold.

The line-up is as follows:

(Alphabetical order)

AIYA DJ set (Mel)

Angie

Big White

Body Promise

CandleLyte

Chanel x DJ Logic*

Chunyin (Rainbow Chan)

Corin (Mel)

Dispossessed

DJ Atro

Felix Lush

GUSSY (Listen to Air Max 95’s recent GUSSY remix here)

HTMLflowers

Jikuroux

Kimchi Princi (Peep her latest music video here)

L’Oasis*

Lupa J*

Makeda*

Post Motel

Slim Set

Not a bad round-up. So despite being dubbed ‘BAD’, we are 100% convinced this festival will be bloody good, and I don’t care how much they want to claim it will be BAD, because we’re going to be there, and we’ll be telling everyone it is DAMN GOOD. Facts.

BAD is set for October 15 and will be taking over the Factory Theatre in Marrickville. For more info, head to their Facebook page. While we’ve got you, go grab a ticket right here.
