PREMIERE: Modestep & Trolley Snatcha – ‘Sing’ (Yellow Claw & Cesqeaux remix) + exclusive interview

London legends Modestep are back at it again, delivering huge remixes for their massive tune ‘Sing’. Today they join us to premiere Yellow Claw and Cesqeaux’s remix with a live video, and answer a few of our questions. Check it out!

STONEY ROADS: What’s up Modestep! It’s been a year since your epic ‘London Road’ album, what have you been up to?

MODESTEP: ‘Suh Ms. Roads. We’ve been living the usual Modestep life of touring, partying and making music. Its been the first year since we started the band that we’ve had some time off to do life-stuff too, which has been nice.. 5 years on the road without any life maintenance can mess with you!

SR: We’re premiering the Yellow Claw video of their remix for your song ‘Sing’, how did this pairing come about?

SR: The original track is a collab between you and Trolley Snatcha, what was it like working together?

M: This was the first tune we had done with Trolley but we worked so well in the studio together that we’ve been back in the den working on some more bits for not only Modestep/Trolley Snatcha but also his new alias ‘Zack the Lad’ which should be coming out soon.

SR: You announced ‘#album3’ in June… what kind of sound can fans expect? What’s inspired you in making this album?

M: We really want to go back to our roots with our new music. We’re going for happy/dance vibes – as musical and uplifting as we can go with the usual trademark drops to bring the aggression in.

SR: You’re no strangers to touring; earlier in July you did 4 shows in 4 different countries over 3 days… what’s are your tour survival pro tips?

M: There aren’t many things that can prepare you for that kind of weekend. Mastering the art of seat-napping is pretty important for those quick charge energy boosts.

SR: What’s an average day in the studio like?

M: Studio is usually just really chilled. We like to relax at our HQ, turn the music up and get into a creative vibe.

SR: Congratulations Tony! You’re a puppy dad! How’s father-hood treating you?

M: It’s great, I get no sleep.. And there is the bonus of piss and shit everywhere. Literally everywhere. When does it end? ?? Seriously though, big up my little Frankie!

SR: What are you listening to right now? Who are your current favourites in the game?

M: Listening to a lot of Flume, Noisia, Culprate, Boombox Cartel, Spag heddy to name a few..

SR: Where is your favourite city to play? Any memorable stories?

M: Favourite city to play in has to be any city in Poland. We always get the most insane response out there, those guys know how to have a mad one!

SR: What’s next for Modestep? What can we get hyped for?

M: We have some new music lined up, some huge collabs in the works and we hope to be jumping back on tour sometime soon to play it to you all!

Check out the Spagheddy remix for ‘Sing’, it’s pretty fucking huge.
