Last month we mentioned the debut release of Melbourne’s 20-year-old BEL and her brooding and unique single ‘Melancholia’.

BEL has continued to keep the hype up and published a truly mesmerizing and eerie video clip to accompany her single. BEL embraces darkness in her video with a self-written caption in the video description on YouTube.

There is a beauty in sadness that we ignore. There is a tranquillity in despondency that is beautiful.
This is the first installment of my body of work ‘Melancholia’. It explores some of these sentiments.

The visuals itself are quite gripping and restless as it involves slithering snakes, black water and shots of aggressive and physical body movements. BEL‘s vocal performance and image go hand in hand making her a refreshing and phenomenal artist in the music scene.
