Hudson Mohawke and James Blake have engaged in a Twitter debate surrounding a collaboration that was teased last week.
After some hopeful Tweets from Hudson Mohawke referring to a potential collab with James Blake, music media and fans went crazy with the concept, resulting in an unnecessary beef between the two artists.
To be quite honest, even we got excited at the concept when it was revealed. Who wouldn’t. It’d be amazing.
However, there is NO collab in the works or on the way from the two, and things seem to have taken a slightly bitter tone.
Naturally from here HudMo chimed in to clear things up.
However, the Frank Ocean collab may still be a thing, but it’s not looking likely we’ll see it anytime soon.
From here, HudMo shared a screen shot of an email with Blake from back in 2014 which made things take a different angle.
This led Blake to open up as well, saying “Thank god we’ve never worked together because I wouldn’t be able to trust you with my music.”
Looks like a big old misunderstanding here. Hopefully the two can put this one to bed or go full circle and come out with a surprise collab in celebration of the end of their brief beef!
