Angry Residents Feared Bassnectar Concert Was An Earthquake

Residents of Commerce City in Colorado are fuming that Bassnectar concert triggered noises similar to a “Sonic Boom” over the weekend.

Residents as far as five miles away reported rattling windows and sound similar to standing next to a car with the volume turned to maximum.

“I thought it was an earthquake. I looked and realized it was bass,” one official complaint from a local stated. Another resident stated that “This was not a friendly event”.

Despite the complaints, Sean Ford, the Commerce City Major has defended the festival and their own decision to hold it, stating that the festival remained within the noise restraints of the agreed permit.

Bassnectar does have a track record with noise complaints – just last year in Morrisson convinced the Red Rocks Amphitheatre to put a cap on the decibel levels permitted in the venue and then banning Bassnectar as a whole.
