A 12-Piece Chamber Orchestra is Coming to Revolver

There is nothing like a bit of variety in life; spice, I believe they call it?

We like to change things up a bit too, and nowadays it’s getting increasingly harder and harder to do something ‘for the first time’, especially in Clubland. Luckily there are crews in Australia who endeavour to do something different, and Melbourne-based crew Thick as Thieves are one of them. If they’re not throwing fundraisers or sick parties, they take to their meeting rooms to brainstorm how they can deliver something to us ‘for the first time’. And this time they somehow came up with techno and a 12-piece chamber orchestra at, of all places, Revolver.

Yes, a 12-piece chamber orchestra will be visiting the hallowed ground of Revolver to bring some much needed culture to y’all. And they will be bringing Ireland’s finest techno merchant, Phil Kieran, to perform some of his more popular tracks LIVE alongside this 12-piece orchestra (which will be conducted by Mario Dobernig). So if you’ve ever wondered what ‘">Skyhook’ would sound like if an orchestra performed it then you’re in luck.

Also performing on the night will be Revolver residents Nick Coleman and T-Rek who will be performing some of their more well known tracks LIVE with the orchestra (like Coleman’s ‘">Faces of Meth’ and T-Rek’s ‘">Out My Bitch’ alongside other Revolver classics). With only 400 tickets available this looks to be a no-brainer, this will sell out before you know it, so get your tickets now.

Also, that man Phil Kieran just announced his brand new album to be released October through the hotter-than-hot, Hot Creations. Check out the mini-album mix below – it’s sounding pretty mint.

And if you’re not In Melbourne, then don’t fear as Kieran has also announced a national Australian tour. Good man. Check dates below.
