After a whopping $70 million investment from Twitter, SoundCloud has announced a new plan to further personalise streaming on their platform.
With competition in the music streaming world getting progressively tougher, it comes as no surprise that SoundCloud has upped the ante, introducing a new algorithm that that aggregates users’ listening history, likes and data to build playlists that suit your taste.
Aptly called ‘Suggest Tracks’, this new plan follows a similar algorithm SoundCloud has been using until now under the title ‘Recommended Tracks‘, which only suggested tracks that were similar to specific track the user is listening to, and not compiling tracks that suit the user’s taste as a whole.
In short, SoundCloud have fixed the bugs and updated their service in order to create a better listening experience for the user. Keeping up with the times.
To use it, click ‘Discover‘ on SoundCloud’s home page and enjoy!
Perhaps they can fix their app while they’re at it!
