It’s been a few months since our ears were graced with the super sexy and fun collaboration between LA producer Penthouse Penthouse and Melbourne’s own Maribelle, ‘About You’.

The production is slick, precise, and allows Maribelle’s voice to float all over it, just as it should. Today sees ‘About You’ back in our lives, again via Melbourne, but this time in the form of a remix by duo Fortunes.

Barnaby on production keeps the simplicity, but makes it sound more cruisy, with the key leads being replaced with pulsating synths and pads. It’s subtle, but moves the original from a playful place, to something which sounds a little more serious and heartfelt. The most obvious addition to the track though, is via more vocals. Conor’s mix of rap verses and soulful lyrics changes ‘About You’ to a conversation between two people. It’s a testament to the boys’ skill, and comes off sounding completely fresh from the original.
