Daft Punk to contribute to Stanley Kubrick Exhibition

One half of Daft Punk, Thomas Bangalter, will be contributing to a new exhibition on the late Stanley Kubrick.

The exhibition – ‘Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick‘ – will celebrate the enigmatic film maker’s life and works, and has gathered a selection of artists from all walks of the creative world to create their own reactionary artworks in response to a specific scene from one of Kubrick’s films.

Films could include Dr. Strangelove, The Shining, A Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Daydreaming with Stanley Kubrick’ opens in London’s Somerset House July 6 and runs through August 24.

And as an added extra, here is a video of Daft Punk’s ‘Contact’ from their 2013 album Random Access Memories merged with a scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Could this be a sign of what Bangalter has in mind?
