Lockout Laws to be debated in NSW Parliament

The petition to Keep Sydney Open has made the big house! The Lower House (to be specific) of NSW Parliament will debate Sydney’s lockout laws this Thursday, May 12, at 4:30pm.

News of this comes just over 2-months after the official Keep Sydney Open rally marched through the CBD, with over 15,000 attendees showing up to voice their opinion against the lockout laws.

For those eager to head along, here is the run down:

  • 4:00pm: Arrive at Parliament and go through security at public entrance.*
  • 4:15pm: People to be seated in chamber.
  • 4:30pm: Debate starts.
  • 5:00pm: Gather for a post-debate photo at the top of Martin Place

It is also recommended you wear your KSO shirts under a jumper or over-shirt while in the gallery as you cannot wear t-shirts with slogans inside, but on the ready to whip out for the post-debate gathering!

If you want to attend, please RSVP here.

Alternatively, you can stream the debate HERE.
