KLP has been finessing her stuff across Australia for a while now, and in doing so has built a sturdy reputation as one of the best selectors in the scene doing it.
With her national tour just kicking off, we decided to pick her brain to find out what some of her favourite Electronic acts are.
Here is KLP’s top five selections, as well as a cheeky remix of her vibey tune ‘Air’, courtesy of fellow Sydney sider Hydraulix.
Sachi
I was in New Zealand recently and I was lucky enough to see these two play a live set. Considering they’re only 18, I was blown away at their stage presence and maturity in front of an audience. They sang, played electronic drums and really knew how to rev the crowd up by being engaging and energetic. Plus on top of all of that, they had some great visuals by Aussie graphic master Ego.
Grimes
She dances, plays keys, sings. Gotta love the super high energy vibe that she brings to her live show.
RUFUS
These guys know how to mesmerise a crowd. I love that they are actually playing as many parts live as possible. So many ‘live’ acts don’t do that which is a bit of a shame, but Rufus really demonstrate how great live electronic music can be.
LCD Soundsystem
Do I need to even explain?!
Sia
She has re-set the boundaries as far as live shows go. The dancing, the covering of her face, amazing visuals. It’s all such a big performance piece.
Now, to gee you you up for her tour, wrap your ears around this doozy remix of ‘Air’, courtesy of Hyrdaulix!
