Evvol explore gender ambiguity in short film ahead of their EP

Berlin-based darkwave-pop duo Evvol have spent the past few months holed up in their Kreuzberg studio writing the follow-up to last year’s debut Eternalism and now we have it, Physical L.U.V. The result is a dense, ethereal and personal EP exploring the physical and emotional constraints of love.

Along with the EP the duo have released a short film of the same theme. Set in rural Germany, the film tells the story of a queergender teenager, Luka, whose everyday life consists of making milkshakes at a gym and taking care of the equipment. The teen hitches a ride with a farmer and the father’s daughter. What ensues is a special king of ‘Physical L.U.V’ between Luka and the daughter.
