Dubset Takes Another Step Forward in the Music Sharing Game

You might remember that Dubset teamed up with Apple Music to try and sort out royalties payments on mixes and edits a couple of months ago. Well just today Dubset announced that they partnered with the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA).

The NMPA is  an organisation that’s about “protecting its members’ property rights on the legislative, litigation and regulatory fronts.”

The association’s EVP and General Counsel Danielle Aguirre believes it’s a step in the right direction.

“We are excited to see that Dubset has made great advances in identifying and licensing compositions contained within mix content,” Aguirre said.

With all this progress it’s looking like your fire mixtapes will be available to be streamed legally in the near future.
