Did you go to Stereo last year? Well hopefully you enjoyed yourself, as won’t be seeing another any time soon!

The large scale electronic music festival has become the focus of questions and doubt of late, after the fall of their mother company, SFX Entertainment.

After plenty of rumours circulating the music industry over the past few days, Stereosonic has finally confirmed that they will not be running the festival in 2016. The statement was made minutes ago via Stereosonic’s Facebook page, to which they said:

“Stereosonic Festival Update

Totem Onelove Group is currently working on bringing Stereosonic fans the best festival experience possible. As part of this, we are taking a hiatus during 2016. However, we will return in 2017, bigger and better.

We will see you soon!”

Earlier today it was reported that the Melbourne office of Stereosonic is up for lease. A solid indicator for the inevitable.

So with that said, what will be shred for now if there is no Stereo?
