Sydney Label ‘Of Leisure’ Launches With Video / GRMM x Muto Collab

With all the closures of venues and clubs all around Sydney, you might also be forgiven for thinking that the birth of new music and labels had also slowed down significantly – you’d be wrong. In fact, last week saw the birth of a new homegrown label, already with the likes of Young Franco, GRMM, Muto and way more. The name is Of Leisure, and we can’t wait to see what these guys come out with.

To kick it all off, they’ve created the perfect advertisement for the Of Leisure Club, styled as a budget 80s infomercial for a country club membership. They’ve called on the likes of Rudimental, Flux Pavilion, Flume, Set Mo, Mickey Kojak, Young Franco (who puts videos like this out all the time), Crooked Colours, Tyler Touché, Muto, Frames, UV Boi and GRMM – with most no doubt having some dealings with the label in the future. It’s a great watch, both for the fantastic cameos (UV Boi semi falling over is classic), and the production quality of the video.

To celebrate their launch, they’ve announced Game, Set Match Volume 1: An Of Leisure Collaboration, and released a GRMM & Muto collaboration, ‘Wait On You’, to tide people over until it’s released on March 29. It’s a relaxing downtempo experience layered with some thick sounding synths, before moving into a semi trap breakdown of almost tribal sounding drums. It’s available as free download when you sign up for the Of Leisure Club at ofleisure.com.au – make sure you don’t sleep on it, and keep it locked here for all news Of Leisure.
