Paco Osuna is Making The Mindshake

Barcelona local Paco Osuna is no stranger to making the dance floor move. Coming of age in the world’s top clubs during the Mediterranean dance hayday, Paco has shared the decks and crates with a long list of legends. What began in 2005 an outlet for tunes and artists that Paco was into, has grown to a techno and house influence felt across the globe.

Over then years later the now veteran DJ and producer has appeared on the some of the biggest imprints in the wold but still keeps true to his team. Along with continuing the A&R duties, Paco continues to curate a crew who works together to drive dance.

“Right now Mindshake is one of my priorities. It’s my personal project and that is why I put all my enthusiasm into it, not only musically but also in building it as a solid family… I believe that energy is felt on stage and in the studio… The label is going to give us some really good surprises this year :)”

In a dance climate where every person’s for themselves, it’s refreshing to hear a label leader eager to plant a sustainable seed in underground electronic. Though Paco’s personal sounds have taken him to massive brands like Minus and Plus8, he continues to tap new names and support their exposure on and off the decks.

Kicking off the season like never before, Paco and team are heading on the road ahead of summer. Featuring a cast of Mindshake all stars, the label have hit the road across Europe and America for choice stops in the underground’s hottest venues. After making their way through Europe, Mexico and the States, the Mindshake crew land in Miami for an early start to the iconic Miami Music Week. No stranger to the familiar Miami scene, the crew fit right in with Miami Rebel’s event at Trade.

“This is the sixth consecutive year we have had a show during the Miami Week, and even though every time is unique, for me playing there is like being at home. Tuesday night will be huge. Nick Curly, Paul Ritch, Egbert and Ariel Rodz will perform, all of them are part of the label family, so that will make it very special.”

Based on Nick Curly’s recent concussive EP on the label, this night’s definitely going to be a standout in Miami. Scheduled just before the tour’s last stop at DJ Mag’s HQ sessions in London it’s proof that Mindshake is on the main stage. Considering dance floor tastes are swaying toward the underground, I expect the see Mindshake names behind the decks more and more as the summer warms up. Sporting the Barcelona dance floor vibe, their beat translate in any language.
