Flying Lotus, who is also the mastermind behind Brainfeeder Records and rap alter-ego Captain Murphy, has alluded in an interview that he could have a new album in the works this year, following on from last year’s You’re Dead!.

Speaking with Zane Lowe from Beats1, he hinted towards a new EP, although not giving away any specific details or dates. He remarked that he expects this year to be his “most prolific year if I can get out of this little slump.”

“I’m actually really excited. I’m going to have a lot of stuff going on this year” he added.

That ‘stuff’ has already begun, with FlyLo’s ‘R2 Where R U’ being featured on Rick Rubin’s curated Star Wars album, which also featured contributions from Claude VonStroke, Bonobo, Shlohmo, and Baauer.
