You can not say dance music without thinking ‘Daft Punk’.

With that illustrious reputation behind them, the French electronic ambassadors have built an almost cult following of millions across the globe; and with a fan base of that size comes the fans who take their love for Daft Punk to the next level.

The ‘robots’ – with their classic, instantly recognisable costumes – have a certain collection of fans who are determined to live the robotic life, and have created their own Daft Punk costumes.

Its a pretty simple task, right?

Here are our choices for some of the more forgettable Daft Punk costume efforts over the years.

These guys below almost had it down to an art, however the whole ‘anonymous’ vibe that Guy and Thomas embody seems to be lost on these two bro’s. Kudos for the effort. 5/10

You know that sound al-foil makes when you crush it? I feel like that is what this guy must hear every time he whacks on his bootleg helmet. You’ve gotta respect the effort though. You can’t see his face and I feel like those little bumps in the foil are his finger prints from sculpting this fragile looking helmet and I dig that! 7/10

The al-foil seems to be the reccuring material. However the man on the right looks like he has run into a wall. Underwhelming, yet clearly recognisable. 6/10

These two went one-up on the helmets and are sporting some robotic gloves. That’s some points to them. However I am almost certain they are Daft Punk helmet replicas and that doesn’t quite count. They at least look cool. 7/10

This has become one of my favourites over the course of writing this article. I am not sure if it is due to the obscurity of that helmet, the candid profile pose or the bowling alley background. Maybe all of the above? 5/10

I don’t even know what I am looking at. the woman on the left seems to be wearing a gold space helmet and the man, well, thats his chin. I can see his chin. That is definitely his damn chin. Not on. 4/10
