Was Daft Punk’s 2006 Coachella Performance The Greatest Ever ?

That Daft Punk documentary that we’ve been talking up for months has finally had it’s English premiere with, “Daft Punk Unchained” finally screening through US cable channel Showtime on the 10th of December.

In another teaser trailer released days before the screening we’re given a tantalising look into what music journalist Michaelangelo Matos describes as, “the greatest performance of all time”.

Everyone’s favourite music mogul, Pedro Winter AKA Busy P! What the Fuck describes the scenes as a stage meant to cater for around 10, 000 is suddenly swamped with 40, 000 punters all vying to see the enormity that was Daft Punks Pyramid set-up.

The enormity of the event is highlighter by the ridiculous production behind the duo with LED projections, massive lighting rigs usually reserved for huge rock spectacles and unseen by a dance act before.

The documentary itself charts the rise-and-rise of Daft Punk from their early days before the masks to their Grammy’s success in 2014 and features interviews with everyone from Kanye West to Pete Tong and more.

Have a look for yourself below, was this the greatest dance music performance ever ?
