January Heats Up For Melbourne As Two Global Names Head Down Under

Thing continue to get heated up over summer for Melbourne, as scores of international acts head down under for the summer season. To bring that temperature up a few degrees, two names have just been added to the ensemble of sonic power, UK powerhouse Fatboy Slim and American House legend Eric Morillo.

It’s been three long years since Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim, has been down to the sun burnt Australian shores. This Australia Day will see earthcore bring down one of the colonies most popular and influential electronic musicians for something very well suited for the occasion, a beach BBQ party.

Fatboy shall be putting your ears to work at a waterfront venue of Riva in St Kilda. Fatboy knows a thing or two about a beach party, having performed at a massive gig on Brighton Beach in the UK in front of 250,000 back in 2002.

Tuesday 26th January @ Riva, St. Kilda Beach, 2PM – 10PM

Tickets on sale 9AM 21ST December 2015, grab them here.

Eric Morillo has been well involved in the dance music scene for over two decades now, with a catalog of tracks that date back to 1992.  The platinum selling, Ministry of Sound resident (one of only a few Americans to hold such a residence) and Subliminal Records label head will head down under in January to play at Brown Alley. Having won several awards for his selection and mix ability, this will surely not a be one to miss for those into the classic sounds of house music. To get to you in the mood, listen to Eric’s recent Essential Mix.
