Sydney duo Alba have done Roland Tings absolute justice with their most recent remix of his track, Hedonist.

A solid tone is set from the beginning, moulding Roland Tings’ original synths into an original and head-nodding melody. Like a fine wine, the remix gets better throughout the duration with the addition of steady and uplifting chords underpinning the percussion. With the melody picking up, the chords rise, giving out to a breakdown of high-pitched, yet subtle, piano stabs, only to be brought back into the thumping drum pattern.

The Alba boys do not disappoint – providing a fresh new angle of an already strong original by the Sydney up-and-comer. Enjoy this one alongside a sunset, sunrise, or a packed dance floor.
