Check Manchester Bass Legend Chimpo’s Aussie Tour Mix

If you’re into your forward-thinking UK Bass, you’ll have heard of Chimpo. If you haven’t, you’re missing out. He’s been hyped as one of Manchester’s best DJs for some time now – a town which has over the last few years become one of the best cities for dance music in the world.

Not only is he a sick DJ, but has gained attention internationally for some serious skills both in his production and on the mic, as well as being a master piss-taker.

The last 2 years have seen him officially remix Wu-Tang, and release music on Par Excellence, legendary D&B labels Exit Records, Soul:R and Critical Music, and possibly one of the biggest records of 2015 on Metalheadz, From Early and Hard Food

Known for working with some of the most exciting names in the UK including Sam Binga, Zed Bias, Trigga and Fracture, Chimpo’s sound fuses Hip Hop, Grime, Dubstep, Jungle and Drum & Bass into an amorphous mish mash which slays the dancefloor every time without fail.

He’s just unleashed a minimix choc-full of dubs ahead of his Australian tour kicking off in Perth this Thursday and it’s massive. Listen below!

You can catch him on one of Sydney’s biggest sound systems at Civic Underground this Friday – tickets available here. Also, Sydney bass collectives Colours and Outer Bass Sound are giving away 2 double passes to the Chimp’s Sydney show.

All you have to do is post an image of Chimpo on Instagram and tag his brand spanking new account @chimpomcr and @coloursyd.

Winners will be drawn this Friday.

Friday 11th December – Civic Underground, Sydney
Saturday 12th December – Transit Bar, Canberra
Tuesday 15th December – Secret Show
Friday 18th December – Winnie Bagoes, Christchurch
