Last week WeTransfer announced that the company plan on launching their own music-streaming platform in hope to provide another option for music makers.
After unveiling a demo of the new streaming service at SMASHD Labs Demo Day in LA, the company said that it has “evolved to become a powerful distribution channel for music creators” with the new service providing a “high-end music-sharing experience to truly promote content to a global group of more than 65 million people“
Artists will be given more direction and more opportunity to focus their promotional campaign towards WeTransfer’s massive online audience through a number of customisable controls, including customisable wallpapers that can feature artist images or album covers.
With WeTransfer already commonly being used by creatives to share their work and collaborate with other creators, will we see WeTransfer overtake Soundcloud in the near future?
