Iconic New York Club To Call It A Day After Decade Long Run

Famed New York Club Pacha to close its doors after a decade of dance floor curation with a marathon New Years Eve party and series of closing parties.

The long standing club that bares the ever recognisable ‘Cherry’ Pacha branding has some impressive stats to prove it as an important place as part of the US clubbing stratosphere;

– 6 million fans gracing dance floor for over 12,000 hours.
– 1,500 shows over 500 weeks
– Fans have burned close to 10 billion calories over ten years
– bar runners have covered nearly 10 thousand miles (burning a million calories) carrying over 2 million bottles of alcohol (enough to fill 2 Olympic sized swimming pools!).

Pacha New York’s president Eddie Dean had some words to round out the clubs days.

“The average nightclub lasts 18 months – we lasted 120, It’s been a wild ride that none of us will ever forget. Our final parties will celebrate the different artists, styles, and scenes that have made Pacha great.”

No reasons were given why such a heavily backed club night is due to close.

Those wondering how it’ll all be set to end can attend any number of the insane parties planned for the final run with guests including Eric Morillo, Puff Daddy and West 46th Street Veteran Jonathan Peters with details on the official Pacha NYC site.
