Disclosure have been unveiling remixes for their single ‘Magnets‘ with New Zealand golden girl Lorde throughout the week and yesterday the UK act shared a stirring and evocative rendition of ‘Magnets’ by English wunderkind Jon Hopkins.

Sir Hopkins strips ‘Magnets’ down into a smooth and atmospheric journey, emphasising Lorde’s vocals and stretching out her syllables to transform them into an angelic melody. Airy pads add more melodic content – with a distorted sub-bass making up the low end and giving the track some much needed grit.

Disclosure quickly added their seal of approval, tweeting and claiming the producer as a “legend.” ‘Magnets’ is taken from Disclosure’s second album ‘Caracal’ which was released in September with features from Lorde, The Weeknd, Gregory Porter and Sam Smith.
