It’s no secret that Art Basel is taking the place of Winter Music Conference to be Miami’s best destination for forward-thinking dance fans. Nestled in the more industrial vibe of Wynwood; artists, musicians, and fans ditch the bikini’s for techno attire at the annal festival. This year more than ever, underground dance music continues to make Basel it’s own with an endless array of events that go against the South Beach stereotypes.

At the head of the charge, Italian label Life & Death have always had a special bond with the house music scene of Miami. An intricate part of the ever-changing event circuit, the tight-knit crew often stops at the cherished events put on by Plot across downtown Miami.

This Basel it’s no surprise that the label led by Dj Tennis and 1/2 of Thugfucker have invited friend and innovator Richie Hawtin to add to the ambiance. After crossing the border into Detroit’s techno scene well over a decade ago, Richie continues to push the boundaries of music. Promising a night full of dark sounds and and lots of dancing, this is one of those events that make Art Basel great.
