They get younger every day: watch this three-year-old kill it behind the decks

Reality TV isn’t usually a source for anything particularly interesting or informative or generally good, but every now and then a little nugget of brilliance pops up, setting the internet aflame with its entertaining magic.

We’ve already posted about Black Summer, Sydney-based DJ ripping mixes at the ripe young age of twelve. Then we told you about DJ John Anthony, the nine-year-old killing it in Florida.

But one contestant on South Africa’s Got Talent has blown them all out of the water.

Introducing DJ Arch Jnr, who is three years old. Yes, three.

Better known to his mum and dad as Oratilwe Hlongwane, DJ Arch Jnr has already had a number of videos shared on YouTube, including ">this one of him playing at a festival. How’s that for feeling a little, “What the hell have I done with my life?” He’s three and he’s already spun at a music festival.

This week, he took his talents to the silver screen – and of course, the dance music world, and the reality show world, have exploded. Performing to thunderous applause and a standing ovation, we wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up winning the whole damn thing.

“Golden buzzer means one thing,” said contest judge DJ Fresh. “It means that I’m loving it so much that I want to send him straight to the semi-final. Well done, my boy.”

Check it out:

According to his father Glen Hlongwane, “He basically started DJing at the age of one.” After Glen downloaded DJ software to play around himself, he discovered that Oratilwe “had a love for music.” The began to work on music together.

DJ Arch now has more than 50 000 Facebook fans. Apparently he’s getting booked to play at kid’s parties.

Mic drop.
