We’re starting to feel old with yet another electronic whizz kid making an early start to the Australian dance music scene (Gen Flume right?).

Kuren has a special story though with electronic beats not a common sight or sound in Hilston, a town of 1500 in far west NSW. That hasn’t stopped the 17-year old from dialling in Youtube, registering a trial version of FL Studio and literally having a go.

Far from it in fact with the results emotively driven electronica that blend ‘footwork rhythms’ and ‘trappy percussions’ while blasts of gushing synths round out the brooding debut single “It Still Hurts” from an EP penned for later this year.
