Gesaffelstein Does A Daft Punk, Steps Up For Movie Soundtrack

The brooding king of techno Gesaffelstein has revealed post his mysterious online counter that he’ll be doing a Daft Punk and soundtracking a full-length film.

Dubbed ‘Maryland’ the indie flick starring Diane Kruger and Matthias Schoenaerts will tell the story of a “an ex-soldier with PTSD who is hired to protect the wife and child of a wealthy Lebanese businessman while he’s out of town” which sounds about right when combining itchy techno from the French producer and a stressed out bodyguard.

The music as expected isn’t about grinding club anthems but instead more sonic, soundscaped productions that heighten suspense or emotion throughout the flick with a single track “Disorder” streaming below.

Those wanting to get their hands on it had better jump with just 1000 copies being pressed onto double heavyweight 180g vinyl that you can pre-order now before the on-sale September 24th.
